Local SEO experts who engineer your map presence

Hiring a local SEO company usually means choosing between a neighbor with a part-time practice and a factory with a thousand accounts. We're the third option: local SEO experts who treat your map presence as an engineering problem — every copy of your business data locked into agreement, location pages with actual substance, and rankings measured across your whole service area instead of from one flattering spot.

And here's the uncomfortable part, up front, because you won't hear it from the factory: proximity is a ranking factor nobody can buy. When a competitor sits closer to the searcher, no citation package on earth outranks geography for that search. Everything that can be engineered, we engineer completely — and we'll always tell you which bucket your problem is in.

§01 · The landscapeThree surfaces

Local visibility now runs through three systems at once. The map pack, scored on proximity, relevance, and prominence. Localized organic — ordinary blue links reshuffled by where the searcher stands. And generated answers: ChatGPT and AI Overviews recommend local businesses now, and the sources they read are engineerable — that's GEO layered on top of local. The work below feeds all three, because they all read from the same underlying record of who you are.

Ground Truth

Our local practice runs on a four-move discipline we call Ground Truth: establish one true record of the business, publish it where it earns, corroborate it until it's undeniable, and measure it from the ground — not from a rank tracker's single lucky coordinate.

One business, one story, everywhere. Your Google Business Profile, your site, your schema, and every citation get reconciled until name, address, phone, categories, and hours agree to the character — because every disagreement is a little vote against your legitimacy that you cast yourself. Primary category selection gets real attention here; it's the single highest-leverage field on the profile and the one most businesses set once, wrong, in 2019. Service-area businesses get configured as service-area businesses, storefronts as storefronts. Duplicate listings get found and killed. And we won't build on sand: no virtual-office addresses, no keywords stuffed into the business name. Google suspends profiles for both, and reinstatement is slow misery we'd rather you never learn about firsthand.

Build

Location and service pages with actual substance — what this location stocks, who works there, how parking works, what's different about the service here — not a template with the city name swapped through it. Google's had a name for the swap version for over a decade: doorway pages, and they're a liability, not an asset. We'd rather build you six real pages than sixty hollow ones, and we'll say so when the city-times-service spreadsheet somebody proposed is a doorway farm wearing a content calendar. Multi-location architectures — locator crawlability, per-location URLs, internal linking — get engineered with the technical practice, where architecture belongs.

03 / 04

Prove

Prominence is earned corroboration. Reviews first: velocity and recency matter more than a trophy average, responses are part of the record, and we run acquisition inside Google's rules — no gating happy customers from unhappy ones, no incentives, because both are policy violations with real consequences. Then the off-profile record: mentions and links from places that establish you're real there — the chamber, the sponsorship, the local press piece. That's the local face of digital PR inside our link building practice, and it moves pack rankings in a way another spam directory never will.

04 / 04

Track

There is no single local ranking. You rank differently from every corner of the map, which means a one-point rank check either flatters you or slanders you depending on where the pin dropped. We measure on a grid across your actual service area, so "we moved up" means something spatial and true — stronger on the north side, still losing the two miles around a closer competitor, exactly as geography predicts. Alongside the grid: profile actions that pay invoices. Calls, direction requests, bookings. Rankings are the instrument; those are the point.

03/ 07 · Profile

Google Business Profile, run properly

Your profile — Google Business Profile, which half the internet still calls Google My Business — is the closest thing local SEO has to a home field, and most profiles are half-configured. We run the whole surface: primary and secondary categories audited against what actually ranks in your market, services and attributes filled with real specifics, hours that tell the truth including holidays, photos that look like a business someone would choose, and the Q&A section seeded with real questions before a stranger seeds it with wrong answers. Competitor spam gets fought, not tolerated — fake listings and keyword-stuffed names in your market are reportable through Google's own redressal process, and filing properly is part of the service. Boring, consistent profile operations beat one heroic optimization sprint every time; this is a maintenance discipline wearing a setup costume.

04/ 07 · Citations

Local SEO citations

Local citations are mentions of your business name, address, and phone number across the web — directories, data aggregators, maps services, industry listings — and their job is corroboration: independent sources agreeing that you are who your profile says you are, where it says you are. Two truths govern the work. Consistency beats volume — fifty listings that agree outperform two hundred that argue. And the audit comes before the building: we inventory what exists, fix what's wrong, and kill duplicates before adding anything, because stacking new citations on top of a contradictory record just publishes the argument louder. Building targets the sources that matter — the major aggregators, the core platforms, and the directories your industry and area actually use — and skips the five hundred spam directories that sell volume by the pound. Cleanup is unglamorous work. It's also where most of the ranking movement in this section lives.

05/ 07 · Small business

If you're a small business

Local SEO services for small business budgets are mostly a prioritization problem, and we'll prioritize honestly: profile locked and operated, reviews flowing inside the rules, one location page with substance, citations reconciled. That's the compounding core. What we won't do is spread a small budget across every workstream at homeopathic dilution so the invoice looks comprehensive — a small engagement done in the right order beats a broad one done thin, and we'll put the order in writing.

Where this connects

Location-page architecture and locator crawlability run through technical SEO. What each location page must say — and which local queries it owns — comes through the on-page assignment map. Local link earning is the link building practice pointed at your geography. It's one studio, so the local work inherits the same standards as everything else here: findings with evidence, changes verified, boundaries held.

Request an audit. Include your service area and we'll baseline the grid before anyone touches anything.

Local SEO FAQ

Do you need to be in my city to do local SEO?

No — and the practitioners who say otherwise are selling proximity theater, not a methodology. Every lever in local SEO is operated remotely: profile management, citation reconciliation, location-page content, review operations, grid tracking. What proximity affects is rankings — the searcher's distance to the business — not the practitioner's distance to the client. We work remote and worldwide, your market's grid data tells us exactly what your streets see, and you get a direct line to the people doing the work either way.

Can you guarantee top-3 map pack rankings?

No, and nobody honest can — the pack is scored partly on proximity, which no vendor controls. A guarantee in local SEO is either a refund policy wearing a promise costume or a plan to manipulate signals in ways that risk your profile. What we commit to instead is written and checkable: the entity locked, the profile fully operated, citations reconciled, pages built with substance, reviews flowing inside the rules, and grid measurement showing exactly where you gained ground. Where geography caps the ceiling, we say so before you spend.

How is local SEO different from regular SEO?

Same foundation, different scoreboard. Regular SEO competes for one set of rankings; local SEO competes for the map pack and for organic results that reshuffle with the searcher's position — which adds surfaces regular SEO doesn't touch: the business profile, citations, reviews, and proximity. The technical base still matters (an unindexable location page ranks nowhere), but the winning signals shift from pure content and authority toward entity consistency and earned local prominence. We run both disciplines under one roof, so nothing falls into the gap between them.

Let's build somethingworth finding.
